Thought I'd throw my hand into the poetry pot. I enjoyed it immensely.
Twas April and the message board
Shows no love for me, so Mike says,
"I feel our par'dy's underscored"
And who wins? SHOCK! Claude Prez.
Beware his dex'trous prose my friend
His puns they bite like mortal sins
Beware his wicked rhymes again
And my JESUS he always wins!
I took my warped pencil in hand
But BLAST! My perfect song's just fair.
Began to sway to another way
Just kill the Prez. You'd care?
So thus to solve my fervent plight
To Claude's abode with instrument
I moved to strike, no more to write
Was my ghastly intent.
One-two! One-two! NO! What to do?!!
He disarmed me with flawless song!
Before I knew, I'm back with you
Just wond'ring what went wrong.
"So did you kill the king" Mike asked?
And I, with tearing eyes, no glee
Responded, "GOD! That freaking Claude
Is too damn smart for me!"
So early May, I sit and stare
And still my cohort Mike he says,
"Just how now do we try to best
Uber genius, Claude Prez?"
Shows no love for me, so Mike says,

Love this!!! Trying to write in the same arena as Claude always reminds of that Roger Daltrey interview where he's talking about what it was like to bring a song he was really proud of having written to the other members of the Who, only to have Pete whip out some masterpiece like "Tommy."
I enjoyed it immensely as well. Wow, I had no idea this was a country song. Just kidding; I DO KTOP.
