Wonderful! But how can you write a song about genius and leave out Jessica Simpson?
Beautiful, L.J. Beautiful. And - if I may suggest - somewhat White Cake. Genius always has a flyspeck, because it is a human quality and searches out material reality (which some might say is one BIG flyspeck). The true and pure White Cakes of the galaxy are the Buddhas, the Christs, the Gods-Who-Walk, whose ethereal messages hook us like fish and fuel the actual work of social and scientific advancement. Might you agree that Great Art needs conflict, and this parody is all love? Just a mote, a question mark, a subtle apprehension of Something that Doesn't Quite Fi, a swift-moving shadow beneath the light, that is Genius in story or song. You are so very close yourself. Never be afraid of the dark. You are the artist. You always carry the flashlight.

Adagio, it's not even the same song. And even if it was, who cares? They are COMPLETELY different.
That's right. The Shocking Blue song is different than the Frankie Avalon song. Has different words and a different melody.
Not to mention the fact that the "I thought of it first" bit is SO old.

Two different OS's, aren't they? Shocking Blue is a remake (or the original) for the Banarama version of Venus. This one's obviously different...not familiar with the Frankie Avalon version, but totally different song than SB/Bananarama. Anyway, good song =)

JR: Lots of times there will be songs that have the same title, but have completely different melodies and words. Frankie Avalon's "Venus" I don't think was ever covered, and Shocking Blue's "Venus" (totally different song) was later covered by Bananarama. While I'm on the subject, I might as well say that I can think of lots of different songs by the name of "Hold On" and "I Need You" and "I Want You"...the list goes on.
By the way, IDK the Frankie Avalon song, but it's a clever concept. Since all the votes thus far are perfect 5's, I think I'll vote 5/5/5 as well.
