I always liked this Buddy Holly song. The line about puffing bastards numbing their prey is quite appropriate. If they manage to avert an immediate diaster, Congress and the President will expect us all to be appropriately grateful for fixing the mess they created by abdicating their responsibilities in the first place.

Should have some old singers like, Cliffie Stone, or Cliff Edwards to sing this..but I imagine they're over the cliff, too, by now.

Nice light take on a so-heavy topic. Makes that cute music box intro sound so ominous. I love the way you milked Holly's 'hiccupping' vocal for extra effect. 555

Thanks Patrick, Dave, AFW and LL. AFW, this one didn't take as long because I used "Cliff" notes. LL, the music in the OS is so light and airy; I like the very basic solo in the middle too.
