A lot of young men you see on the streets these days want to be walking billboards for underwear. I saw one of these guys in a store a while back and felt like telling him to pull his pants up. Then I remembered that "sagging" as they call it, is the mark of a gang-banger (just watch any episode of COPS). So, I decided to put my advice here on a web site only seen by those whose underwear is not seen in public. Much safer that way.

Went back and looked up your take on the subject. Almost couldn't find it. That's the problem with an academic, you went and put a hyphen in Low-Rise. I am forever in awe of your genius when it comes to words. "American Pie" is the greatest pop song of the rock and roll era. Forget "Stairway to Heaven". Actually I never learned enough of it to forget. Anyone who takes on Don McLean's masterpiece had better be prepared to do him justice. Not sure I will ever be worthy. Glad you liked this one. I sat by my CD player listening to Johnny Nash over and over again until I got the rhythm right. I'd like to stay away from politics for a while. Too polarizing. Most would like me to just stay away.

How many times have the cops nabbed some punk because he tripped over his own pants while trying to run away? That would seem to be one practical argument against this fad.
Sorry about the hyphen, but being an academic, that was the purpose of putting the URL immediately below it:: So you wouldn't have to "find" it, but just copy the URL and paste it in the browser's address bar (and hit "enter", LOL). Works every time, unless the flippers typo the link.

Oops, my bad... the hyphen-less "Low Rise" was itself one of those co-authored by Fiddlegirl. It was, in fact, *her* concept and title switch. She had completed much of the first half, before she got stuck and asked TT to collaborate, by finishing it and by mutual tweaking. So while I appreciate the kind words re: this writer's ability with words, FG is no slouch herself, and deserves much of the credit for that take on Am Pie.
It was only our second song together, and its success was a trigger for many more joint efforts. Still, I'm sure that you could tackle AP if you put your mind to it. Think up the right concept for *you*, and the words will come more easily.

I don't have a lot of computer skills. The link you gave was not a point and click. It is easier for me to go through the title search. Once I noticed the hyphen I figured it out. I was educated in the last age of literacy before computer literacy.
