Maybe it's me who can't keep up (with the times), but what's wrong with a good old fashioned Dear John letter?
(This parody is totally Safe-For-Work, unless those two words in the title in that particular combination for some unfathomable reason has you riled).
Just as with yesterday's parody, the original song used is from Flash & The Pan's 1978 self-titled first album and currently it's not to be found on the internet (I only have it on cassette myself). The best substitute I can find at the moment is a musically crappy cover where the singer's intonation is really quite different in way too many places, but unless you're already familiar with the OS you'll have to do with that.

I assume you're as disappointed as I at the current lack of readers of discernment to appreciate what you, uh, "put into this". :) or to bother to leave a comment, even after 555-ing. ... one reason for so few TT posts in the past year or so. Looks like I'm not the only one show off "my genitalia" this round! Great job! Never heard the OS before today... Interesting to say the least! The singer sounds like Bob Dylan and the music sounds like something from Pink Floyd or Styx or something. Weird music here!

SOTM...like Matty, I wasn't previously familiar with the OS, but this tragic tale seems to pace well & and was overall a good write! :)
I loved the title switch! The pacing was spot on as well, nice work here!
