Sir John, this parody is quite different from your usual subjects . . It was handled with the utmost of taste despite Rome's position on this controversial matter. Or are you a Knight of ~OPUS DEI~ ?
It's just a movie and I doubt that it is factual but the parody was still well written. Never saw the movie and have no intentions to do so. Can't help what I believe nor would I want to do anything to change it. I'm judging the parody on its merits as a parody and it deserves 5s no matter what my position is on the subject. Wish though I could say I'd enjoyed it - just not my cup of tea.
I agree with AFW. It is like a movie review, or really a book review. I liked the imagery "off they made, to where the wine is". Guy, I don't think John is trying to advocate for Dan Brown's assertions. He's just doing what he does best. He's writing a parody while demonstrating clever wordplay and an excellent vocabulary.
IB - Yes sir I know that and I am saying that the parody is excellently crafted. Usually I don't even comment on these kinds of parodies as I also only do parodies on secular Christmas songs except for the one I did on "Noel" but it carries a message at the end. John's parody deserved a comment and high 5's from me for its high quality. I can seperate church and state way better than most people. Thanks for the concern but John is an excellent parody writer and I can most times tell exactly where he is coming from.
