Cute idea. I have the feeling you just recently found this site. You seem to be a talented sort, I was wondering what part of the world you hailed from. I did hear your recordings, and I wondered also if that was you on the piano.

Stuart, I know, I loved your version too. I had just posted my version when I saw yours. Rick, newbies do stick out don't they? Yep, I only found this site because of Spaff.com. I think Robert Lund's "Ding Fries are Done" is the best Christmas song ever! I am a transplanted Californian, on my way to Washington. Talented? Not really, I was a music major in college, but dropped out. Piano lessons were a waste on me. I am a voice/clarinet guy. My "Devil Went Down to Georgia" recording is my favorite.

As you may know from comments or my own songs on soundclick, recordings are my specialty here. (after Spaff/Lund anyway) I found your "Devil" track hard to listen to because the recording is so muddy, and I believe you used the original lyrics. The other ones were better.I have done composing for the clarinet, as my wife Mari (Also on the parody list at 65) is in a woodwind quintette that I write for.

I got a call the other day wanting to know if my fridge was running. I paid it no mind and hung up. This morning I noticed a fowl smell in the kitchen. I guess the caller was on to something because now I have to plug my fridge... into the wall.

This was fridgin' good. 5s.

Thanks John, Alvin, Phil, Meriadoc, Guy and AFW! Our fridge did just die, kind of a motivation for the song. Something about a relay switch. Rick, considering the 'Devil' song was recorded before I got real equipment, I think it came out pretty good. Try recording to tape four times without a multitrack. I should re-record it anew.
