Puff, the magic dragon
Lived by the sea
And frolicked in the autumn mist
In a land called Honalee.
Little Jackie Paper
Loved that rascal Puff
And brought him strings and sealing wax
And other fancy stuff.

But one night Puff felt poorly,
He was in deep distress,
So Jackie found his cell phone
And called the NHS.
When they reached reception
The nurse on duty blinked,
"We don't see many dragons here,
We thought you were extinct!"

When they found a bed for Puff
They drew the curtains tight,
They didn't want their other patients
Fainting due to fright.
Puff thankfully recovered,
He was breathing like a torch,
And though he burned those curtains down
Jackie met him by the porch.

A naval helicopter
Flew them back to Honalee.
The doctors and the surgeons
Were all sworn to secrecy.
But I spoke to a cleaner
Who cannot be ignored.
She witnessed several scorch marks
When she tidied-up that ward.
