Vladimir Putin is widely admired by the American right wing. Some see him as a bulwark of Christian civilization against the hordes of Islam. On the other hand, no one has ever explained how the Russians could have interfered in the 2016 election. The best anyone can come up with is the planting of fake news stories on Facebook. That's not illegal. Intelligent people should be able to recognize lies and propaganda when they see them. So far no one has shown the Russians registering ineligible voters, losing ballots, casting votes for the dead, holding polls open late to achieve a desired result--all well-known Democrat practices since the 1860's If not earlier.
In the 1860s the Republicans were the good guys. That changed a long time ago. Whether or not Russia interfered in 2016 is now a moot point. Trump was impeached for trying to blackmail Ukraine to help him interfere in 2020. Now his popularity is in freefall, so it's impossible for him to win anyway.
