The Lyrics
Caleb Jonathan Coleman had an idea for me to write a Jimi Hendrix parody while watching Heathcliff & The Catillac Cats, the 1984 series. Well, here Darius goes...it's a story about Sonja missing Heathcliff. The original song called The Wind Cries Mary by Jimi Hendrix can be heard on Vimeo, YouTube, and even on your radio station.
[Verse 1: Caleb]
So, all the Catillac cats are in their cars,
And Monday will come once again,
You can hear Heathcliff causing trouble in the street,
Spike in his doghouse sleepin',
And Sonja who misses Heathcliff.
[Verse 2: Caleb]
The gang will all be hearing,
All the terrible things that Heathcliff does,
In the house, breakfast he's been eaten,
In the nest, a bee still might buzz.
And Sonja will cry Heathcliff.
[Darius' guitar solo]
[Verse 3: Caleb]
Iggy Nutmeg, is Heathcliff's owner.
He takes Heathcliff to the cat show,
All the kittens are cute and cuddly,
But we wouldn't let 'em go.
Still Sonja screams Heathcliff.

Will Sonja ever remember,
The true love that was there in her past?
And with the orange fur, and whiskers...
She wants to know, how long it will last,
And Sonja cries Heathcliff.
